Taco Seasoning Mix

All the ease of processed taco seasoning packets without any of the salt, sugar, or added oils.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup nutritional yeast
  • cup chili powder
  • cup ground cumin
  • ¼ cup granulated onion or ⅔ cup dried minced onion
  • tbsp chipotle pepper powder or crushed dried red pepper flakes, or to taste. For a less spicy option, use smoked paprika instead, along with amount below.
  • tbsp granulated garlic
  • tbsp dried oregano
  • tbsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a small bowl. Store in a well-sealed container in your pantry. Recipe yields 2 cups.

Notes

2 tbsp of spice blend equals a single packet of Taco Seasoning and serves 6.
There is no salt in this mix. Season to taste when using if you desire salt.
